If You Were A Flaming Hot Cheeto Would You Eat Yourself?

Does it feel crazy to anyone else that another Halloween has already come and gone? I think someone put a time warp on 2014.

Before we know it, it will be time to gather together with our extended family we only see during select holidays, weddings, and funerals to shove our faces with mashed potatoes and hog out on pie. YUM!

Anyway...It's super cold here, so instead of dressing up like a peanut butter sandwich and socializing in public like a normal person I opted to bask in the warm glow of the internet and Google celebrity Halloween costumes. 

Below are some of my favorites from Halloweens past and present, but not the future because I'm not Sylvia Brown. Some celebrities are featured twice because their costume game is super strong and Heidi Klum is featured a hundred times because she is empress of the night.

Cat Worship. A Royal Meow.

So apparently yesterday was national cat day. I'm more of a sloth or opossum person myself, but cats are ok too I guess. We actually just acquired a cat here at the Gem Steady household. His name is Grey Cat.

Grey Cat showed up on our front porch then welcomed himself inside and told us to make him a sandwich (which we promptly did). If there's one thing I can tell you about Grey Cat it is that he's stealth as fuck. Sometimes I think he just vaporizes into the room. One second I'm alone at my desk, then next thing I know I look up to see Grey Cat manipulating my thoughts with his cat telekinesis not 3 feet away.

I thought I'd celebrate yesterdays important holiday by posting lots of pictures of cats in jewelry and other royal garb. It's always important to respect our distinguished feline friends or else they'll jump up on your counter to knock all your most important things over and leave all your least important things unscathed.

Queen Liz

Liz Taylor is certainly an icon for many reasons. Her extremely enviable jewelry collection being one of those. In 1957 she was given an antique diamond tiara worth an estimated $60,000-$80,000. Liz had this to say about it in A Life in Jewelry "When [third husband Mike Todd] gave me this tiara, he said, 'You're my queen, and I think you should have a tiara,' "I wore it for the first time when we went to the Academy Awards. It was the most perfect night, because Mike's film Around the World in 80 Days won for Best Picture. It wasn't fashionable to wear tiaras then, but I wore it anyway because he was my king."
